I have a theory about why we usual artists (not manga-artists) have no comments what so ever, even if our art is probably pretty good.

After carefully studying the art of those who have lots of comments, I have picked up few hints for a comment hunters.

1. Draw manga. Or nearly manga. Manga is usually liked by teenage girls, and teenage girls want to write their 'kawaii's and other japanese phrases in every place possible. But they can not do it, if your art does not please them. And they are only pleased, if your eyes are big enough, your boys look like girls and your girls wear a school uniform (and your cute girlie boys wear ties).

2. Draw yaoi. Even if you have absolutely NO skills at drawing it (or want), draw it still. Yaoi, even bad one, collects comments for sure.

3. Color your art. Elitists will come to pick you about any possible mistakes you make, and tell just how they would do it a lot better. After tearimg you to pieces, they'll end their comments with a lame sentence like 'but keep it up, I'm sure you'll make some progress in time!'. Just how comfortable that kind of phrase is after 'your art sucks'?

4. Draw women with few clothes. (AND big boobs)

5. Draw men with few clothes

Oh, just forget 4 and 5 and draw nudes. You'll have comments for sure.

6. NEVER think that you deserve nice comments. Putting that 'critigue not wanted' mark there tells that you are a selfish piece of s**t and you think that your art is above any commenting. Some people, who don't understand english, will think that it means you don't want comments at all and leave without saying a word. So just submit your art without any marks and cross your fingers.

7. 'Constructive criticism wanted'-mark will lead you to your doom. To some people it means an exuse so they can mock everything possible from picture itself to your way of treating your dog.

Prove me wrong, and start to comment, WITH NICE COMMENTS, your fellow artists who do NOT fill more than 1 or 2 of these 7 comment hunter- distinctive marks. Feel free to post this text in your own journal, and challenge more people to comment.

And if you take this journal as an insult, for GOD'S SAKE, have some sense of humour! All art is still art, and worth commenting for. Even manga
